The office of the Suffolk County District Attorney typically hires 12 to 15 Assistant District Attorneys each year as a class. Members of the bar, as well as third-year law students, may apply for Assistant District Attorney positions starting on October 31. District Attorney Conley is committed to recruiting and retaining staff that reflects the diversity of the multicultural community we serve.

Candidates who take the bar examination in July must secure certification under Supreme Judicial Court Rule 3:03 before graduation from law school. Applications for this certificate should be processed through your law school.

All required documents must be sent via email in Microsoft Word format. Do not mail paper documents, unless we request you to do so. The application deadline is January 1. The first round of interviews will be conducted from January to April; the second round of interviews will be conducted in April and May; and the third round of interviews will be conducted in May and June.
