Roommates arraigned for trafficking methamphetamine from their Brighton apartment

BOSTON, December 15, 2025 – Two Brighton roommates face drug trafficking charges after being targeted by a joint local and federal enforcement operation for dealing narcotics out of their Faneuil Street apartment, Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced.

VINCENZO PORFINO, 43, and WILLIAM NAGLE, 46 were charged in Brighton BMC Friday with trafficking methamphetamine of less than 100 grams and more than 200 grams respectively and class B possession with intent to distribute.

Porfino has a criminal record including numerous convictions for firearms, domestic violence, drugs and larceny offenses dating back to 1995. Nagle has a criminal record dating back to 1997 including convictions for violent and drug offenses.

Judge Connor Barusch ordered Nagle and Porfino held without bail pending a December 16 dangerousness hearing.

Boston police launched a surveillance operation after receiving multiple community complaints regarding drug use and distribution from 227 Faneuil Street in Brighton. On Thursday December 11, Boston drug control unit officers and a federal Drug Enforcement Agency task force conducted a search warrant operation at the address. Officers identified four individuals, two of whom, Porfino and Nagle, stated they resided in the apartment. The search yielded various narcotics and paraphernalia, including suboxone, Adderall, around 300 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and $3591 in cash. Officers also found 98 counterfeit $100 bills.

“This is another great example of community members contacting police about what they see happening in their neighborhood and then police following up with a thorough investigation resulting in arrests and seizures of drugs, cash and counterfeit money. These are the sort of community and law enforcement partnerships that improve the quality of life for all our residents,” Hayden said.

All charged individuals are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
