Defendant’s sister facing assault charges in December stabbing outside of Roadrunner
BOSTON, April 25, 2025 – The sister of the man charged in a December stabbing outside of a Brighton music hall was arraigned on assault charges in the same case Thursday in Brighton BMC, Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced.
CHANDRA DIXON, 38, of Brighton was charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot).
Judge David Donnelly released Dixon on personal recognizance. Dixon is due back in court on June 26 for a pre-trial hearing.
On December 1, Boston police responded to the Roadrunner at 89 Guest Street for a person stabbed. The victim, 27, sustained five knife wounds to his back.
Collin Hullum, 37, was charged with assault to kill and assault and battery causing serious bodily injury in December after investigators sought a warrant for his arrest. Hullum is due back in Brighton BMC on June 18 for a probable cause hearing.
Witnesses reported that a fight had begun because Hullum’s sister, later identified as Dixon, had been confronted after cutting the line at the bar inside the music hall.
Surveillance video shows a verbal argument that escalated into a physical confrontation between two groups prior to the stabbing.
Video shows Dixon run toward the group involved in the altercation and assault them. Detectives identified two victims, one who reported being punched and one who reported being kicked in the right shoulder. Both reported they did not see who assaulted them. Investigators identified the woman who assaulted them as Dixon, Hullman’s sister.
“This was a thorough investigation that didn’t stop when one person was identified and charged. Everyone involved in this case worked diligently to identify and charge this second person for an extremely violent event that left the victim seriously injured,” Hayden said.
All charged individuals are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
