Brockton teen charged with assaulting officer responding to domestic dispute

BOSTON, February 25, 2026, – A Brockton teen was arraigned in Dorchester BMC Friday for biting an officer’s finger during a domestic dispute call, Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced.

KAMORA DAVIS, 19, is charged with assault and battery on a police officer causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery on a family or household member, and resisting arrest.

Judge Connor Barusch released Davis on personal recognizance and ordered her to refrain from alcohol and to stay away from the location of the incident and have no contact with the victim. Davis will return to court April 22 for a probable cause hearing.

At around 10 p.m. on February 19, officers were called to 1875 Dorchester Avenue for a noise disturbance. Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim, who stated that his ex-girlfriend, later identified as Davis, had come to his residence to retrieve some of her items. The victim told officers Davis was intoxicated, had hit him across the face, and was still inside his apartment. As officers approached the residence, they heard screaming coming from inside and entered the apartment. When officers opened the door, Davis lunged toward an officer and bit him on the right ring finger. Other officers attempted to handcuff Davis, but she resisted, fell to the floor, and pulled her hands away.

When Davis was being transported to a cruiser, she continued to yell and kick the cruiser doors. Officers noted a strong smell of alcohol coming from Davis. The injured officer went to the hospital and was informed that Davis had bitten down to the bone of his finger.

“Domestic disturbance calls are always unpredictable for police officers, and some, such as this one, turn out to be dangerous and violent. I wish this officer a full recovery and I’m thankful the injuries weren’t more severe,” Hayden said.
