Roslindale teen arraigned for home invasion, assault, destruction of property

BOSTON, August 19, 2026 – A Roslindale teenager was arraigned today in West Roxbury BMC on charges related to a violent altercation at her ex-boyfriend’s home, Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced.  

ALYSSAH HARRISON, 19, is charged with home invasion, assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and malicious destruction of property. Judge Maureen Flaherty released Harrison on personal recognizance and ordered her to stay away from the victims, witnesses, and location of the incident. Harrison will return to court October 2 for a pretrial hearing.

At around 1 p,m, on July 22, officers responded to a call from the property security office at Highcrest Road and Terrace in Roslindale. Security told officers that a resident had approached them in distress, saying that a woman, later identified as Alyssah Harrison, was inside his home vandalizing the property. The victim said that he and his wife were home when Harrison, who had formally been in a relationship with their son, came to their front door with an aluminum baseball bat and swung it, breaking the glass screen. He said that when he and his wife went to the door to address the commotion, Harrison entered their home, pushed his wife and punched her in the face while threatening them both and holding the bat in a cocked position.

Harrison then ran up the stairs into a bedroom on the second floor and began opening drawers and the closet, as if looking for something. The male victim left the home to contact property security, and the female victim followed Harrison upstairs, where she attempted to physically remove Harrison from the room, resulting in a fight. Harrison then fled the house. The female victim told officers she was unsure if Harrison had taken anything and didn’t see anything in her hands as she fled.  

The son of the victims and Harrison’s ex-boyfriend told officers that he believed she was attempting to steal a safe containing money that she thought was somewhere in the second-floor bedroom.  

“It’s not hard to imagine the fear these homeowners must have experienced when their peaceful day at home was suddenly turned chaotic and violent due by an armed intruder. Our victim witness advocates are trained in trauma and acquaintance violence scenarios and will provide all the support these victims require as the case moves forward,” Hayden said.

All charged individuals are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
