Two teens and juvenile arrested after Sunday robbery of Allston smoke shop

BOSTON, January 24, 2023—A teenager from Lynn is being held on revoked bail on various assault and robbery offenses after being charged with stealing money, cannabis and other items from an Allston smoke shop Sunday and then attacking police while being arrested, District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced.

KAYLEE O’CONNOR, 18, was charged in Brighton BMC Monday with unarmed robbery, assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, receiving stolen property, possession of Class D substance, minor in possession of liquor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  Judge Stephen McClenon revoked O’Connor’s bail on an existing case, set $2,000 bail on the new charges, and ordered her to stay away from the location of the crime, stay away from her co-defendants and remain drug and alcohol free.

ANGELO JONES-SAUCER, 18, of Boston was also arrested in the incident.  Jones-Saucer was brought to the hospital after telling police he had ingested cocaine.  He will be arraigned on similar charges at a later date.

A third person, a juvenile, was also arrested, and released to his mother.  He will be arraigned at a later date in Boston Juvenile Court.

Assistant District Attorney Daniel Addady said that on Sunday at about 1:56 p.m. Boston police responded to a call for a robbery at Fast Eddie’s Smoke Shop on Harvard Street in Allston.  An employee told them that three individuals, two males and a female, had robbed the store of $506 in cash, two large bongs, a mason jar containing cannabis and a container of CBD tablets.

Soon after, officers on Commonwealth Avenue observed three individuals matching the descriptions provided by witnesses.  Officers ordered the three to stop.  The individuals ignored the commands and began to walk in different directions near 1465 Commonwealth.  Officers arrested the juvenile without incident.  The female suspect, later identified as O’Connor, tried to run away from officers.  After being handcuffed, O’Connor became combative and kicked a police officer in the leg.  She continually smashed her head on the inside of the cruiser while being transported for booking.

While undergoing a pat frisk for weapons, Jones became assaultive toward officers, reached into his pocket, and pulled out a lock-blade knife.  Officers had to pry the knife from his hands.  He kicked, head-butted and attempted to bite officers before being placed into a cruiser, where he proceeded to kick the closed doors.
